Digg Reader is shutting down on March 26, 2018. Bummer, we know. We’d like to thank you for using Digg Reader for the past four years, and we’d also like you to have your feeds and keep reading them where you want. Thankfully, this is pretty easy.
If you haven’t already exported your Feeds in an OPML xml file, just go to digg.com/settings and Scroll down to Export and Download your subscriptions. Select where you want to save and you’ll be able to Import it to another reader service. This is your data, and we want to make sure you have it.

Ah. Sorry to hear this. Readers retiring is not a great news for the Web. This must have been a painful decision :-(

You can easily migrate to inoreader - I think it is the best reader :). Just export your subscriptions to OPML and import them like this:

Check out Feedbro feed reader. It's fast & free and has a built-in rule engine for automatic filtering, notifications, autotagging, can convert partial feeds to full articles, has IFTTT integration etc!

It has very clean interface (quite similar to Google Reader but more clean), frequently updates feeds, allows subscribing to Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/G+, has filters and various view modes. And it has a business model (it's a paid reader) and no plans to close.
It's sad, but that's life! Thanks for all the effort you've done until today.
Also thanks for the suggestions, since yesterday I've been digging them. They have all of them pros and cons, and I think the "best" one is Inoreader. --However I've to mention the following: if you want to leave Inoreader with an OPML file, you will have to pay a Pro Account. In other words, it's free to get in, but it's not to get out.--

Why am I getting the email announcement today (the 27th) when your website says your closing down on the 26th, which is yesterday?
Regardless, I think I'm going to have to only stick with long-standing web apps like Feedly. I took the risk, when with Digg Reader having invested some time in setting it up and now this.
